Please take the time to read through the following before setting up an appointment with Corinne
This section will certainly allow you to get to know a bit about Corinne. Of course, when you actually spend some time in her company, you realize that she is not only energetic, optimistic and encouraging, she is knowledgeable in so many areas. And much of that knowledge is due to her personal experiences. You seem to operate in several different areas. I have difficulty doing one thing well. Can you explain how your potential clients can feel confident in using your services?
This is a great question. Please be patient with me for a moment as I explain a bit about my journey. You see, what I do “evolved” from a base. That base is Nutrition and Wellness.
In 1973, I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis. I was 15 years old at the time. The doctor gave me a grim look into my future, due to the fact that I was so young. Needless to say, I was shocked, extremely disappointed, and angry enough to say, “I cannot allow this to happen to me!” I prayed for an answer. The onset of that answer was given to me as I was waiting at a Greyhound Bus Terminal and I decided to purchase my first issue of Prevention Magazine, which had a feature article on Arthritis. I thought to myself, “How cool is this? Must be a message sent to help me.” And so, my interest in nutrition and wellness began.
Due to my commitments, I began taking ballet classes at 17 and was on Pointe by the age of 19. My instructor told me, “This is unheard of at your age to be in toe shoes after only two years of lessons.” Over the next 37 years, dance was a serious part of my life. I was in many performances and “arthritis” took a back seat.
During the many years since my journey began, my thirst for reading and practicing many different methods to achieve wellness has allowed me to obtain a wealth of knowledge.
Just to throw this in… At the age of 19, I acquired an Ulcer and was told, by the same family doctor, that this would never heal. “I’ll show him!” I said, once again. Within six months, using my own intuitive methods, my ulcer was gone. For those that know me, I am attracted to a plethora of avenues – like a moth to a flame. Some things become a “normal” and “natural” part of one’s life, like the simplistic example of brushing your teeth. Nutrition and wellness is my “normal” and “natural” base. This has allowed me to help many people over the years. Water, and then Energy Work evolved naturally off of that. My extremely high energy level allows me to do the things I do. That is, helping people achieve a better quality of life. I truly LOVE what I do and look forward to continuing to learn, grow, and share even more with those I am privileged to meet.
Okay… what other experience do you have?
I have over 35 years of experience with meal planning, cooking, budgeting, and customer service. I was raised in the restaurant business. My parents owned and operated two Italian restaurants over the years and I had a strong desire to learn every aspect of the business. Fortunately, my father loved having me as his shadow and, at the age of 17, I began running the restaurant whenever he left town. At the age of 30, I operated my own restaurant. After my father passed away, I ran his restaurant for a while.
The years I was married and raising two children continued to build on my experiences. We operated a small organic farm and canned, froze, dried, or sold what we grew or raised. These years not only included this job, but I helped my husband in his business and home educated the children as well. Yes, I was supermom! As I look back at this time, I wonder how I did it.
There have been times, over the years, when money was tight. Going through a divorce, with two children at home, the challenges were many. Budgeting finances – as well as my time – is a great asset in what I do. I often empathize with my clients, based on the vast experiences I’ve had. Working with a client as the unique individual they are is very comforting to them.
How quickly can someone expect results?
I am so glad you asked this question. What I expect from a client is for them to be serious about changing their health and well-being. The last thing I want to do is waste my time, and especially the client’s time. If a client is serious and puts forth an effort in making the changes they are assigned to make – and agree to make – they will see results the very first week or the very first appointment... depending on what their unique plan is that we set up. I am not a slave driver, nor am I unrealistic in setting goals. My philosophy is:
Small steps…
Success… Feeling positive about ourselves through our accomplishments…
Taking another step or two…
Repeat...
Most importantly, we need to forgive ourselves when we get off-track. Often, we tend to be our worst critic and we feel defeated and worthless. Life is a wonderful journey. Brush the dirt off and get back on track. Everyone has worth.
You also feel very strongly about Kangen Water. Why?
I feel very strongly about good water… period. There are not, in my opinion, enough options in choosing good, healthy water. I find this disappointing, especially since water is a multi-billion dollar a year industry.
I began drinking filtered water in 1987, from a system I purchased for my apartment. It was empowering to know that I was taking action against the municipal water powers-that-be. Up until this point, I heard of the dangers of drinking “city” water. As I continued to read and listen to what others had to say, my knowledge kept improving.
In 2000, I moved into a new home. The smell – and of course, the taste – of the well water my new home provided, was impossible for me to endure. Yes, that was a bit dramatic. However, for 10 years I enjoyed the flavor of natural spring water, which was provided in abundance on my farm. And so, this new “well water” seemed disgusting to me, and I began purchasing reverse osmosis water. While drinking this for two years I was becoming more and more ill. One of the things I did not know about water, was the basic “personality” or “principal” of water. The reverse osmosis water was pulling all the minerals right out of my body and I was losing health more and more each day. So I discontinued drinking the reverse osmosis water and began drinking my well water after having it tested. At the time, the well water was the best water for my body.
In 2008, after moving again, I was faced with city water. My search for the best water began. After 3 months of searching, I found Kangen Water. The immediate health benefits I received from this water was so amazing to me, I decided I had to tell everyone about it. Of course, my studies continue. What I have found in my comparisons to other home water-systems has only solidified why I prefer this water over others.
Well, the last area of what your business covers is Energy Healing. Would you mind sharing your introduction to this?
No, not at all.
I have witnessed, over the years, an ability we all have in contributing to the healing of others. Whether that is through prayer, sharing one’s knowledge, or even practicing some kind of hands-on modality (i.e. massage, reiki, etc.).
My desire is for everyone to experience good health and happiness. Personally, I have used several methods, at one time or another, to assist others.
For several years I have been searching for a hands-on healing modality, that once experienced, I would want to learn how to do. And as others can attest to in this field, once you begin searching, you are led to numerous modalities. As an example, Quantum Touch and E.F.T. (Emotional Freedom Technique) are two modalities that came my way and I highly respect them! I incorporate these into much of my personalized sessions, especially E.F.T. because much of our problems stem from an emotional imbalance. If you had to convince someone of what sets you apart from others, what would you say?
Wow… talk about pressure? Well, for starters, I want to say there are many qualified and well-meaning people to choose from. I don’t believe that any of us should be an island unto ourselves. Just like there is no single method used that will cure every ailment/disease in every person, there is no single person used to do all either.
With that said, there are many methods which use “cookie-cutter” strategies. Sort of like the diet that is sure to work on everyone who follows the plan. I don’t believe that this is at all humanly possible for two reasons. One… if this were so, there wouldn’t be a need to publish any other diet plans. I say that somewhat in humor, but you get my drift. Two… every human being is unique. There are so many contributing factors that make up the whole us, that it is virtually impossible to help each person equally. Such as:
· Environment we live or work in · Foods we are accustomed to eating · Body type · Blood type · How we handle stresses · Personality strengths and weaknesses · Type of lifestyle led
These are some of the things that contribute to our whole selves. And these are some of the things I consider when working on every client, in every area of my business.
Also, I work intuitively.
You have certainly gotten me excited about ALL the tools you use in your business. How do I know where to begin?
I treat all clients as individuals because their needs, most of the time, are as unique as they are.
They are more than welcome to contact me and I will be happy to chat about their situation and the different options I can offer to help with their particular need/needs. I would love to assist them in achieving their goals.
